2ND INTERNATIONAL MAIL ART BIENNIAL

8TH APRİL-28TH APRİL

OBJECT

Tekirdağ Namık Kemal Üniversity, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture,
2nd INTERNATIONAL MAIL ART BIENNIAL will be made.

The theme of the event, which is open to international artists and mail art volunteers, is “Square”, which is a representation of equality and balance elements also known as a human form.

“Square” with Four Sides, balance and stability is considered to be a basic form in both horizontal and vertical symmetrical and abstraction. which represents quaternary, equilibrium, stability and robustness, As a symbolic figure, it stands for decisive stance and stability in order, harmony and cohesion. Meaning, in comparison to the circle and triangle representing the sky, the interior angles of the square, which is said to represent the earth, draws the minister into its center, creating consistent information and perception that expresses an unshakable sharp view.

Visual artists and designers have used the square as plastic to describe their themes with many different configurations. The square has been a key form in many public buildings. The square, defined as a shape with metaphysical features, was used by the great Turkish architect Sinan in many of his works. In the art of the 20th century, the square continues to exist as an important figure, the square is an objective form, it contains symmetry, vertical, horizontal and diagonal axes. The square has smooth lines and sharp corners. The square defines the consistency with these properties.
